I'm Maddie, a Senior UX Designer with 10+ years experience and I don't think good design happens alone.
I do my best work in the messy middle, alongside teams, working out what's really going on and what to do about it.
Home is Hobart/nipaluna, and when I'm not at a Miro or Figma with my team, you'll find me in the surf.

Where I've worked
Research and design for clients including Commonwealth Bank, RACV, RACT, Aware Super, Endeavour Group (Dan Murphy's and BWS), Racenet, Flinders University, Neo Intelligence and Askable. Work spans discovery and continuous discovery research, usability testing, customer journey mapping, and end-to-end CX and UI design.
Led user research across three squads (Domestic Check-in, Make and Manage Booking, and the Homepage), introducing continuous discovery to the team. Worked alongside cabin crew and ground staff in airports, facilitated design workshops, kept customer journey maps up to date, created accessibility guidelines for developer handover, and championed a design system for the app.
Designed the homepage of the new TAB app, including social betting features, and contributed to user research, ways of working and a new design system.
Helped rebuild and redesign the comparison journeys for travel insurance, health insurance and energy.
Tutored and helped develop content for three design courses: Human-Computer Interaction, Social and Mobile Computing, and Design Computing Studio.
